He has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience managing sales growth, marketing, strategic partnerships, business development, integrations, product development, operations and customer service teams. Previously, Jim was the President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare’s Surgery business.
TOM VADAKETHEVP, Chief Financial Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ERT, Tom is responsible for driving the company’s financial vision, guidance and compliance. Prior to joining ERT, Tom was the CFO at Cambrex Corporation. He has over 20 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles at top worldwide organizations, including a variety of progressive management positions at The Crosby Group, Tyco and Procter & Gamble.
STEVE NUCKOLSEVP, Chief Commercial Officer
Steve is responsible for global sales activities within ERT. In his 20 years of experience, he has served in both domestic and global roles at Sage Healthcare, CA Technologies and IBM. Prior to joining ERT, Steve served as VP and General Manager for GE Healthcare.
BOB SHAMBAUGHEVP, Operations Delivery and Fulfillment
As Executive Vice President of Operations Delivery and Fulfillment, Bob Shambaugh is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategic direction of ERT’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the company’s suite of proven eClinical solutions deliver the highest quality data for use in clinical development. Bob has decades of experience delivering operational excellence, including senior leadership roles in the healthcare, aerospace, energy, and automotive industries.

Jim leads the articulation of ERT’s strategic direction, corporate development and marketing activities. Jim has more than 25 years of general management, corporate development, strategy and marketing experience with Symphony Health, Arsenal Capital and IMS health (now IQVIA).
DON RAGASVP, Chief Technology Officer
As Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Don leads global development, information technology, and strategic sourcing at ERT. He has significant experience in the life sciences industry, including senior leadership positions at IMS Health where he led the development of global data acquisition systems, warehouse platforms and cloud-based services for its global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
MATTHEW McCARTYVP, DIGITAL PATIENT
Matt is responsible for defining and leading the product strategy for ERT’s digital patient product line, with a focus on direct to patient enablement in both post-approval research and patient support. Matt has spent the last 12 years leading teams and innovating products in both the clinical research and commercial healthcare settings to reduce the patient burden of participation and to support patients in their healthcare journey. Most recently, Matt was Global Head of Patient Engagement for ICON’s Commercialization & Outcomes division and, prior to that, Head of Direct to Patient Research (Virtual Trials) at IQVIA.
DAVID ELARIOEVP, eCOA
Dave is responsible for defining and leading the product strategy for ERT’s electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) product line, including eCOA Clinical Science and Consulting. Prior to joining ERT, Dave was VP and GM for Services Operations at GE Healthcare. He has extensive experience in leading both commercial and service organizations and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
ACHIM SCHÜLKEEVP, Respiratory Solutions
Achim has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in medical device, remote monitoring, disease management and clinical trial markets. Previously, he played key roles at medical technology leaders such as JAEGER, VIASYS and CareFusion with a proven record of accomplishment for success in driving growth and profitability. Achim founded VIASYS Clinical Services, growing the organization from 0 to 250 people while developing innovative technologies to capture and process clinical trial data.
ELLEN STREETEVP, Cardiac Safety
Ellen leads ERT’s Cardiac Safety business, setting product strategy and driving growth opportunities. She has more than 20 years of product management, commercial leadership, and strategic marketing experience across multiple segments of the life science marketplace, including Healthcare IT, Medical Devices, and Imaging. Most recently, Ellen was VP and General Manager, Global Monitoring Solutions Ecosystem and Analytics at GE Healthcare, where she led the company’s patient monitoring data and analytics strategy within its Life Care solutions business.
TIM KULBAGOVP, Imaging
As head of ERT’s Imaging solutions, Tim is responsible for driving innovation and product development to ensure the company’s imaging solutions meet our customers’ needs. Tim has held many executive positions during his 20 years in the medical imaging industry. He previously served as President and CEO of ImageIQ – a company originally established by Cleveland Clinic Innovations (acquired by ERT in 2017) – where he led the company’s deployment of software engineering, high-resolution imaging, and custom-tailored image analysis to support a vast array of biomedical preclinical and clinical specialties.
MICHELE BUONOPANE, CCPVP, Human Resources
Michele leads ERT’s Global Human Resources function, enabling the organization’s strategic growth initiatives. Michele has more than 20 years of global experience in strategic business partnerships, organizational design and development, HR strategy and compensation and benefits. Previously, she held progressive leadership positions with Haemonetics Corporation, including Vice President of Global Markets Human Resources.
RICHARD MILLERVP, Quality Management
As Vice President of Quality Management, Richard leads ERT’s quality assurance and regulatory affairs programs. Previously, Richard was the Director and Senior Director, Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs at ERT. Before joining the company, he worked in environmental health and safety (epidemiology) at ARCO Chemical.
