Kenneth G. Faulkner, Ph.D. currently serves as Vice President of eCOA Science and Consulting at ERT. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the UNC/NC State Joint Biomedical Engineering program. Previous to joining ERT, Ken was the Corporate Vice President for Patient Technology Solutions at Parexel and a co-founder of Synarc, a medical imaging core laboratory started in 1998. In addition to his pharmaceutical development experience, Ken worked at GE Healthcare for five years, where he served as the Chief Scientist and Director of Marketing and Product Development for the Lunar bone densitometry business unit.
Ken received his PhD from the Joint Bioengineering Program at the University of California Berkeley and San Francisco. He joined the faculty of the University of California San Francisco as an Assistant Professor of Radiology. While at UCSF, Ken researched the use of various imaging techniques for the assessment of bone and cartilage disease. He holds three patents related to the use of imaging for the assessment of osteoporosis and has published over 140 scientific articles in the areas of osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment.
