When using a centralized ECG process, much of the work that would be done by sponsors, CROs and individual monitoring sites is handed to an ECG core laboratory. The core laboratory employs digital ECG data collection, which speeds up the ECG reading process and results in much cleaner data and far fewer inaccuracies through errors in interpretation of the results.
