Based on the proven technology behind the Jaeger Asthma Monitor®, the AM2+® was especially designed for clinical research. This easy-to-use home spirometer and electronic diary (eDiary) measures and saves all relevant expiratory flow-volume parameters, such as PEF, FEV1, FVC and FEF, and it records symptoms, events and medication, including severity and dose.
The AM2+® is designed to replace an ordinary peak flow meter, diary and pencil by a single, robust and reliable system that produces high-quality data with patient compliance guaranteed. The Asthma Monitor Software, AMOS® allows long-term trend control of the AM2+® data.
To make the AM2+® as convenient as possible for the patient, all questions and instructions are available in almost any language, including Kanji and Cyrillic characters sets. When connected to the VIAConnect®, the AM2+® will download all recorded information to a central database and/or provide a printed version of all diary information to the investigator. All data is recorded and stored in the device's non-volatile, internal memory.
The AM2+® measures all relevant expiratory parameters (PEF, FEV1 and FEF) and complies with ATS/ERS 2005 standards of spirometry.
