Dr. Morganroth has served as the chairman of ERT’s Board of Directors since 1999 and as a member of our Board of Directors since 1997. He has served as our chief scientific officer since April 2006.
Prior to that, he served as our chief scientist from March 2001 to December 2005 and as our chief executive officer from 1993 to March 2001. In addition, Dr. Morganroth has consulted for ERT since 1977. Dr. Morganroth is a globally recognized cardiologist and clinical researcher. He served for more than 10 years as a medical review officer/expert for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Dr. McKelvey has served as ERT’s president and chief executive officer since June 2006. Prior to that, he was employed by PAREXEL International, one of the largest biopharmaceutical outsourcing organizations in the world, where he served as corporate senior vice president, clinical research services (CRS). He was responsible for the CRS Americas clinical operations in addition to being in charge of the worldwide data management, biostatistics and programming activities for CRS.
Before his work at PAREXEL, Dr. McKelvey owned and operated his own firm, McKelvey LLC, which provided strategic consulting for organizations on e-business strategy, product development and marketing. He also spent six years with ICF Consulting as executive vice president and president - ICF Information Technology, Inc. In 1999, he participated in the management-led buyout of ICF Consulting from its then-parent ICF Kaiser International.
Dr. McKelvey also served DRI/McGraw-Hill for 10 years in a variety of executive roles in the technology consulting and information management areas. He spent the first 10 years of his career with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he served as forecast manager and senior economist in the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Dr. McKelvey holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. degree from Williams College.
Mr. Schneck joined ERT in 2008 with more than 30 years of senior financial experience and executive management expertise in high-growth companies and public accounting. He was previously executive vice president and chief financial officer for Neoware, Inc., a publicly traded company before its acquisition in September 2007 by Hewlett-Packard. He also consulted in a transitional capacity until December 2007.
Prior to Neoware, he served as chief financial officer of T-Networks, a venture capital-funded startup company providing components to the telecommunications market. Mr. Schneck also has held positions as president and chief financial officer for AM Communications and as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Integrated Circuit Systems, also a publicly traded company.
Mr. Schneck is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 10 years of public accounting experience with KPMG LLP. During his career, Mr. Schneck has been responsible for a variety of financial and general management functions, including investor relations, finance, operations, business development, acquisitions and integration of acquired operations.
He holds a B.S. from West Chester University and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Blakeley has been ERT’s executive vice president, sales and marketing since 2007. He previously served as our senior vice president, international operations and sales beginning September 2006.
He also served as our group vice president, international business development from January 2005 to August 2006 and as our director of business development from May 2002 to December 2004. Prior to joining ERT, Mr. Blakeley was managing director of MediServe Medical UK Limited, a medical devices specialist.
Mr. Devine has served as ERT’s executive vice president and chief development officer since December 2005. Prior to that, he served since 2003 as senior vice president and chief development officer, and since 2002 as vice president, research and development.
Mr. Devine was previously employed by ecHUB as chief technology officer from 2000 to 2002. He also spent 18 years at IBM and Lockheed Martin in senior-director level technology positions.
Ms. Furlong has served as ERT’s executive vice president, cardiac safety operations since December 2005. Earlier, she served as our senior vice president, regulatory compliance since January 2004. From February 2001 to January 2004, Ms. Furlong served as our vice president, regulatory compliance, and from February 1999 to February 2001, she served as our senior director, regulatory compliance. Ms. Furlong has been employed with ERT for 12 years.
Dr. Litwin is a board-certified cardiologist and internist and has served as ERT’s executive vice president and chief medical officer since December 2005. Beginning in 2000, he served as our senior vice president and chief medical officer. Previously, Dr. Litwin was employed by Executive Health Group, a leading international provider of physical examinations for corporate executives, from May 1993 to July 2000, most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Dr. Litwin also served as a consultant for Schlumberger, Ltd. from March 1996 to July 2000 and for the American and National League of Professional Baseball Clubs from April 1995 to March 1999.
Mr. Brown has been ERT’s senior vice president, strategic marketing, planning and partnerships since September 2006. Prior to this, Mr. Brown served as our senior vice president, outsourcing partnerships from July 2002 to August 2006. From January 2000 to June 2002, Mr. Brown was our senior vice president, cardiac safety. Mr. Brown has been employed with us for over 26 years.
Mr. Tiger has been ERT’s senior vice president, global sales since November 2009. He also served as our senior vice president, international sales and operations from October 2005 to September 2006; senior vice president, international operations from July 2004 to October 2005; vice president, international business development from August 2002 to July 2004; and as director of business development from January 2001 to August 2002.
Mr. Sory joins ERT following 16 years of experience working for Pfizer, Inc. He spent the last seven years as Vice President and General Manager of Pfizer Health Solutions, Inc, Pfizer’s health technology and services subsidiary. John brings extensive business development experience working on partnerships, joint ventures, and mergers, as well as operations experience having managed innovative health care initiatives in the U.S. and Europe. A high level industry executive, Mr. Sory has demonstrated his ability to successfully leverage a company’s resources, talent and intellectual property across many divergent sectors of the health care system.
Ms. Mattern joined ERT in April 2007 as vice president, human resources. Prior to ERT, she was manager of human resources at Subaru of America and vice president of human resources at Greater Atlantic HMO.
